Meet Our Team!
Staff
I think a founder’s heart is when you really understand that there is genius, and passion, and love in other people. I get the chance, as the founder of School Connect, to unleash that beauty in other people. I get to create a clear and simple pathway for them to be able to walk down together and transform a child’s life, a school’s life, and even a community’s life.
None of us can do this alone. We can only do it when we bring everyone to the table. We want to be the ones who start a movement with the community so that we can see healthy families, thriving schools, and community for every child.
My hometown is Flagstaff, Arizona and one of my best memories from my childhood was our reading tree house at my elementary school. That special nook sparked a fire in me for learning that has never gone out. I truly believe that if a child is given the necessary tools that ignite that spark in them, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams.
I cherish the off-camera moments, when a principal, or parent, or teacher pulls me aside and whispers, “I just can’t believe all these people care this much, and are working this hard – for us! Wait till the kids get here on Monday!” Then I wish the camera was rolling, but cheer quietly to myself because I know we are making a difference.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Margaret Mead
Colleagues
Every child deserves the support and resources to pursue their dreams. As a former principal, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of communities uniting to nurture the unique gifts within each child. Our mission is not complete until every child has a network of caring individuals walking alongside them on their journey to greatness.

With very full hearts, we’re sharing that our beloved founder and CEO, Tracey Beal, will retire on March 1.
For more than a decade, Tracey has poured her heart into School Connect—bringing people together, believing deeply in every child`s potential, and reminding us that it truly takes a village.
We are endlessly grateful for her vision, her joy, and the countless lives touched through her leadership. While we will miss her deeply, we are so excited for her next chapter.
Hear from Tracey in her own words. 💛 (Read more at the link in our bio!)
When people outside a school have the opportunity to come in, meet educators, see the students, and hear about a school`s hopes for its community, their perspective changes...
A school is no longer just the building we pass on our way to work.
It becomes a place filled with children who are growing up in our neighborhood. Educators who are giving their energy, creativity, and care every day. Families who want the very same things we want: for their children to be known, supported, and given a real opportunity to thrive.
That`s why Love Our Schools Day matters so much to us!
In this video, Shea Duryea talks about why schools are hosting Love Our Schools Day events this fall, and why you might want to get involved, too!

The questions that are taking shape in our kids` hearts and minds—sometimes before they have the words to ask them...
Do I belong here?
Am I good at this?
Can I do hard things?
What might my life be like someday?
Of course, we want them to learn to read, solve problems, understand the world around them, and grow in confidence. But we also want them to begin seeing that what they are learning today has a place in the life they will build tomorrow.
We want them to know that school is not just about getting through the next assignment, grade, or test. It`s a place where they can discover what interests them, develop skills that will carry them forward, and begin to imagine the kind of future that may be possible for them.
That`s one reason we care so deeply about creating meaningful connections between classrooms and careers.
If you`re an educator, industry leader, or community member who cares about helping create career pathways for students, join us on September 9th for the Classroom to Career Workshop!

As AI handles more routine work in our schools, students will need more of what is uniquely human from the village around them...
