Why Love Our Schools?

Love Our Schools Day is an opportunity for community members to connect with their local school – to roll up their sleeves and plant a garden, or paint a classroom.

How Can We Help?

By showing up and asking this question, it provides the opportunity to build friendship and trust as we work toward common goals.

Love Our Schools Day has been celebrated across Arizona for the last five years. Each year this event has grown and schools have received tremendous amounts of support from their communities as volunteers paint, clean, garden, prepare crafts, or create care packages for teachers!

We had so much fun celebrating #LoveOurSchoolsDay with the Peoria Elementary School District, where partners, students, and school staff worked together on all kinds of projects to make their schools a place where kids are excited to learn and grow every day!
Check out these #LoveOurSchoolsDay highlights from Freeman Fine Arts Academy, where partners (including our friends from Read Better Be Better), students, and school staff worked together on campus beautification!
They may or may not be wearing capes today, but teachers are certainly unsung heroes in our students' lives!

How many people do you know who can teach math to 25 kids at once while every one of them is bursting with excitement for the school costume party?! That's a feat!

Let's make today a little sweeter for teachers, too!

We had a blast last weekend visiting schools hosting #LoveOurSchoolsDay and #MakeADifferenceDay events across Arizona!

Though we weren't able to visit all 20 participating schools, we were able to visit a handful, including Tres Rios School, where community partners joined in to help create a peace path, giving students a space to develop their conflict-resolution skills. What a great idea!
