“It is a privilege to serve and support schools through School Connect. Bringing all facets of the community together to help educators enrich the lives of children and open doors of opportunity is meaningful and important community-building. Please find a way to connect with us and join this effort.”
Dr. Jennifer Johnson, Retired Educator
“I serve on the School Connect Board because their core principles of service, community, faith, education, and collaboration mesh perfectly with my beliefs. I am privileged to support an organization that puts the needs of children at the front of every decision and action.”
Dr. Carol Lippert, Assistant Vice President for K-12 Outreach and Support,
Grand Canyon Education
“School Connect is crucial because strong schools and healthy communities are inextricably linked. By supporting School Connect, we teach educators how to nurture partnerships beyond their immediate school families and engage neighbors in a variety of opportunities to enhance their quality of life. Together, we are growing tomorrow’s workforce, developing a capable citizenry, and creating a stronger Arizona.“
Shelly Hornback, Owner, Hornback Communications
“It is the highest privilege to serve students and their communities. School Connect holds students at the heart of its work by facilitating business partners, parents, faith-based organizations, and educators to collaborate so that they can focus on the complex needs of students. We are all better because of School Connect.”
Dr. Susie Cook, Retired Superintendent,
Washington Elementary School District
“The stories that unfold through School Connect show what’s possible when communities come together. I’ve witnessed firsthand how this model works, as it transforms the lives of the people we care deeply about – the next generation. My goal is to give our youth the best future we can, which is why it’s such an honor to be a part of this movement.”
John Dowd, Community Partnerships & Outreach,
CORE Construction
“I have served with School Connect for the past 9 years because I believe that there is no greater investment that exists than the investment that is made into people. School Connect has taken that truth regarding investment and exemplified it beyond measure, by empowering the “village” to invest into the lives of our young people with diligence, consistency and love. I honestly can’t think of a better mission to join my life to.”
Jerome Parker, Community Pastor,
First Christian Church (FCC)
“The School Connect systems and platforms are essential to school systems and communities because they foster partnerships between schools, businesses, and community organizations, helping build a shared vision, mission, and actionable plans that truly make a difference in empowering students, families, and staff to realize the transformative potential of education in supporting the entire community.”
Dr. Robbie Koerperich, Superintendent
Holbrook Unified School District
“It’s an honor to support the great work of School Connect as a board member. It takes a village to raise a child, and School Connect helps bring the village together to support and educate children. I encourage school, community and business leaders to unite to help every child in Arizona reach his/her potential. Working together, we can make a difference and help shape the future of our state.”

Doing this alone is impossible; it takes all of us working together to make a difference.
Many of you have been very generous with your teacher nominations... thank you!! Now, we could use your help...
As we approach the March 20 nomination deadline THIS Friday, we`re hoping to receive more nominations in a few other categories, especially for schools, principals, students (K-6), superintendents, and school board members.
Can you tell us about the leaders who are making a difference in our schools and communities? We`d love to honor and celebrate them at our upcoming awards breakfast. (Nomination link in bio)
In the work we do with educators and the community partners who rally around them, we get to witness the beautiful, often quiet work of everyday leaders who show up every single day to build Arizona`s future.
It`s work taken on by the kind of leaders who don`t ask for accolades or applause—they just enjoy knowing that what they do helps kids reach their dreams.
In these stories, we`re reminded that the best outcomes for kids happen when a village shows up...
💛 a teacher says, "I believe in you"
💛 a superintendent clears the path
💛 a principal rallies people together
💛 a student steps up to help their peers
💛 a community partner picks up the phone to say, "how can I help?"
Every role matters.
We know you`ve witnessed stories like this, too...
That`s why we want to hear from you!

A little encouragement can go a long way!

Then, consider nominating them for a Champions of Education Award! (link in bio)
Dawn Gerundo shares what it was like to be nominated for a Champions of Education Award last year. You can encourage someone like Dawn with your nomination, too!
Who deserves an award this year for the difference they`re making in our schools and communities?
Tell us all about them! (Link in bio)
The Washington Elementary School District CAFE was a packed house!
This CAFE celebrated partnership in pursuit of impact. As table discussions commenced, the energy in the room was palpable; leaders came ready to take action, listening intently for goals, planning support for testing, teacher appreciation, and even Love Our Schools Day next fall - a favorite of district principals.
In the words of Principal Pallagi,
“The impact is not just in what they build or give, but how they make students feel. Our students see adults who choose them, choose their school, invest in their future, and it tells the students that you matter.”
