Meet Our Team!
Staff
I think a founder’s heart is when you really understand that there is genius, and passion, and love in other people. I get the chance, as the founder of School Connect, to unleash that beauty in other people. I get to create a clear and simple pathway for them to be able to walk down together and transform a child’s life, a school’s life, and even a community’s life.
None of us can do this alone. We can only do it when we bring everyone to the table. We want to be the ones who start a movement with the community so that we can see healthy families, thriving schools, and community for every child.
My hometown is Flagstaff, Arizona and one of my best memories from my childhood was our reading tree house at my elementary school. That special nook sparked a fire in me for learning that has never gone out. I truly believe that if a child is given the necessary tools that ignite that spark in them, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams.
I cherish the off-camera moments, when a principal, or parent, or teacher pulls me aside and whispers, “I just can’t believe all these people care this much, and are working this hard – for us! Wait till the kids get here on Monday!” Then I wish the camera was rolling, but cheer quietly to myself because I know we are making a difference.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Margaret Mead
Colleagues
Every child deserves the support and resources to pursue their dreams. As a former principal, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of communities uniting to nurture the unique gifts within each child. Our mission is not complete until every child has a network of caring individuals walking alongside them on their journey to greatness.

Boosting third-grade reading is a hot topic in Arizona education.
It`s also a place where we`re seeing partners rally around schools to make a difference!
For the second year in a row, the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation is partnering with four school districts and 60+ schools to support the Valley Readers Program and get kids excited about reading. Schools track minutes, older students read to younger ones, families get involved, and classrooms rally around shared goals, motivating kids to keep going and growing.
Each of those minutes represents a child spending time inside a story, building stamina, confidence, and curiosity. And then, of course, there’s the fun, including assemblies with the Suns and Mercury staff, dancers, and mascots filling gyms with energy, players and coaches talking about the books that shaped them.
Those inspiring moments connect reading to real lives and real dreams in ways a worksheet never could, staying with kids for years and years to come!
Now that`s #PartnershipInAction! (See "In the News" at the link in our bio)
There are leaders across Arizona who are making a difference in our schools and our communities... and we want to celebrate them this April at our Champions of Education Awards breakfast!
‼️ But the only way they can receive an award is if you tell us about them ‼️
Nominations are open through March 20, 2026. Tell us who deserves an award this year! (Link in bio)
When we elevate students, we unlock their leadership!
That`s exactly what we were reminded of during the recent Gilbert Public Schools CAFE, where school leaders, community partners, and students gathered to discuss how we can all work together to promote student success.
Shoutout to our CAFE sponsors CORE and FIRST THINGS FIRST for helping to bring people together for these important conversations!
