Are you a local school with a project? Love Our Schools Day is a project-based volunteer day when the community can roll up their sleeves at a local school and make a difference where it is needed most whether it is planting a garden, painting a classroom, or fixing up a playground. Classroom to Career Workshop
You’re invited to the Classroom to Career Workshop on September 9th!
Join education and industry leaders for an experience where partnerships form, ideas flow, businesses tap into future growth and students are connected from the classroom to cutting edge career pathways!
Here in Arizona, we have schools doing extraordinary work. We also have businesses and organizations full of people who genuinely care about the next generation. But so often, those two worlds are spinning in separate silos, rarely connecting in ways that actually move the needle for kids.
And the kids who pay the price for that disconnect? They`re the ones who sit in classrooms and wonder, "Why does any of this matter? What is this even for?"
They struggle to imagine or dream of a bright future for themselves.
One student comes to school knowing exactly where she`s headed — her parents have careers, connections, a roadmap. Another student is just as bright, just as capable, but nobody in his world has ever shown him what`s possible. The difference between those two kids often isn`t talent. It`s exposure. It`s who they`ve met, what they`ve seen, and whether anyone took the time to say, "You could do this."
This is exactly why we created the Classroom to Career Workshop.
In partnership with CHASSE Building Team, we`re bringing educators and industry leaders together again — and I would love for you to be in the room.
Join us on Wednesday, September 9th, at Grand Canyon University! (Link in bio)
When a child feels chosen — when someone who didn`t have to show up, shows up anyway — something shifts.
We`ve watched a volunteer kneel down to work on a project alongside a student, unaware that they`d just changed that kid`s whole day. Maybe more than their day. A person being physically present, giving their time, saying with their actions you matter to me — kids remember that.
That`s what Love Our Schools Day is really about.
Yes, walls get painted. Gardens get planted. Campuses get a little brighter.
But what students and educators actually receive on Love Our Schools Day is the experience of their community showing up for them.
Businesses, faith communities, neighbors, and volunteers walking through the school doors together — not because they had to, but because they wanted to. Kids feel that. And so do educators!
Educators carry so much, often with little support or fanfare. When a community shows up alongside them, something lifts. A teacher who feels supported by the people around them can give their students so much more.
This fall, we`re building our Love Our Schools Day village — and we`d love for you to be part of it.

#ItTakesAVillage
A few months ago, Harvard`s Graduate School of Education published a study documenting over 1,550 faith-school partnerships across nine states — the first research of its kind to map the full scope of what happens when faith communities and schools decide to work together.
The headline finding is something we know to be true in our work at School Connect...
✨ When community partners engage with schools strategically, students do better.✨
Some of the study confirmed things we`ve believed and built School Connect around. Some of it named challenges we`ve seen firsthand but struggled to articulate. And some of it pointed to opportunities that our whole field — schools, faith communities, nonprofits, and community partners alike — needs to take seriously.
👀 👉 Tracey Beal recently shared her thoughts on this study. Read at the link in our bio!
