When a Community Says “Yes” to Students and Creates a Launchpad to Careers

A student’s pathway to a future career does not begin with a job application, a college acceptance letter, or even a high school course catalog. It begins much earlier—with the relationships, examples, and opportunities that help a young person see what may be possible.

At Western Sky Middle School in the Litchfield Elementary School District, that belief became Mission Possible: a community-school partnership model designed to connect eighth-grade students with adults from across their community while making a meaningful link between attendance, education, and their futures.
