Granada East Elementary School

Join us in making a positive impact on our campus by participating in our voluntary beautification campaign. Together, we’ll work to transform an unsightly outdoor area into a vibrant and inviting space for our students to enjoy. Agenda: Introduction/Goals & Objectives Explanation of the areas current condition  and the envisioned transformation

1. Clean up

• The removal of litter, debris, and weeds
• Clear out any unwanted materials
• Prepare the space for planting and or improvements

2. Planting/Landscaping

• Planting grass, flowers, greenery
• Lay down mulch, turf or decorative gravel pathways
• Set up seating area, benches or picnic spots

3. Artistic Enhancements

• Engage volunteers in creating art installations
• Brighten up the area with colorful decorations

4. Community Bonding/Refreshments 5. Final Touches and Celebrations

• Place finishing touches on the area’s improvements
• Admire collective efforts
• Group Photo to commemorate the transformation

Eagle Ridge Elementary School

Our project aims at enhancing the overall atmosphere and promoting a positive growth mindset within our elementary school bathrooms. We believe that creating an environment filled with uplifting phrases and positive affirmations in our school’s bathrooms can have a profound impact on the students’ well-being and outlook on their mindset throughout the day. The Eagle Ridge Positive Message Bathroom Project will focus on beautifying our elementary school bathrooms while incorporating one of our AVID goals (growth mindset), as well as our No Place for Hate commitment to inclusion and being kind to all. We plan to achieve this by:

• Collaborating with our school art teacher, staff, students, families, and community members to paint vibrant and inspiring murals on the bathroom stalls. These murals will feature colorful imagery and empowering phrases that encourage a growth mindset and being kind.
• Also, by involving students in the creative process by organizing art contests to design some of the mural elements. This will foster a sense of ownership and pride in the project.

This project will take place on FEBUARY 24, 2024 from 8am -1pm.

Copper King Elementary

Next to the main field on the campus, you will find a small gated area. This used to be a school garden, but it hasn’t been up and running in years. This year, Copper King is hoping to transform this space into a quiet area for students to enjoy during recess. We have several students who enjoy drawing, writing, reading, or simply sitting in peace during their times of leisure. In order to support this creativity, we want to provide them with this space on campus. Please help us turn this dream into a reality.

Yavapai Elementary School

Come and join Yavapai Elementary community as we love on our Staff! We will be working towards organizing the teacher recreation room. Creating a space where our teachers and staff can easily find supplies, create projects for their classrooms. If you are gifted in organizing this project is for you! We will be labeling areas, making sure that everything has a space and is in a space that can be found and is inviting to teachers and staff. We will also be loving on our staff by stocking the staff lounge area and making it a more inviting space for teachers to take breaks, eat lunch and have community time with each other. Needs: Organization Bins, Labels, Bulletin Boards, Décor, Cleaning Supplies, Snacks and Drinks. Volunteers! Come help us love on Yavapai.

Sunset Elementary has the most dedicated staff! Our employees are like family and deserve to be treated as such. With an outdated and lackluster lounge. We are asking for a partner(s) to supply our lounge! Our staff depends on snacks, beverages, and treats to get us through some rewarding, but challenging days. A nice refresh of bulletin boards, décor, and/or comfort items would be much appreciated. We are committed to building long-lasting partnerships! You’ll be invited to our family engagement events, showcased in our monthly newsletter, and our Facebook page! We will even save you a special spot on our school’s marquee.   Thank you!

Arroyo School

We are looking for community partners to help family and staff from Arroyo school to install a paver walkway. We are looking to install pavers from the sidewalk to our teacher lounge so our staff members do not need to walk through the dirt to get to the teachers lounge. We have a large number of pavers donated but could use some help placing the pavers in the ground to create a walkway.

Arroyo will have our event on December 9^th 8:30-10:00am
